In the daily use of the horizontal double-end surface grinding machine, paying attention to maintenance can prolong the life of the grinding machine. It has many 

different performances and characteristics. We need to pay attention to the operation and daily maintenance.

1. Routine maintenance of horizontal double-end grinding machine:

(1) Clean the whole body after grinding every day. Do not blow it with a water gun directly to prevent iron filings from entering the guide rail and affecting the 

accuracy of the grinder.

(2) When operating the equipment, avoid using a fan to blow against the workbench, so as to prevent dust and iron filings from rolling back to the guide rail, 

affecting the accuracy and feel of the guide rail.

(3) The guideway oil of the grinder should be replaced and added in time, generally every 3-6 months, and once in the third month and the next 6 months.

(4) Please use professional lubricating oil as the lubricating oil for the guide rail of the grinding machine.

(5) Regularly check whether the steel cable of the grinder workbench is loose and locked to prevent it from breaking or affecting the accuracy of the feel.

(6) Regularly clean the guide rails of the workbench to prevent iron filings from abrading the guide rail surface and affecting the accuracy of the guide rails. 

Clean it with gasoline, and gently remove the sundries embedded in the wear-resistant parts with a shovel.

(7) Regularly check whether the fuselage is unstable and level when working.

(8) If it is a manual grinder, check the tightness of the cable regularly.

(9) If it is a semi-automatic grinder, check the concentration of the grinding fluid every week and replace it in time.

2. Maintenance of key components of horizontal double-end grinding machine:

(1) Grinding wheel frame: Check the clearance of the main shaft, whether the unloading pulley bearing is damaged, whether the grinding wheel motor is running 

abnormally, and whether the dynamic pressure is established.

(2) Oil tank: Check whether the oil pump shaft is damaged or broken, and whether there are defects such as oil-water mixing.

(3) Static oil tank: Change the oil every 6 months, clean the oil filter, and check whether the oil pressure relay is in good contact.

(4) Table driving mechanism: check positioning accuracy, repeat positioning, backlash, etc. If there is a problem, disassemble and repair the ball screw, and check 

whether there is oil and water mixed.

(5) Lateral feed mechanism: the inspection method is the same as that of the table drive mechanism.

(6) Ball screw lubrication system: Check the lubrication effect of the measuring piece to see if there is any blockage. If there is no oil, remove the oil needle of the 

measuring piece to repair and lubricate it.

In daily production, formulating the maintenance system of the horizontal double-end grinding machine and strictly complying with it can prolong the service life 

of the horizontal double-end grinding machine. Equipment maintenance is an important part of equipment management and requires long-term persistence to 

make the equipment have a longer service life. The service life can meet the production demand and reduce the investment cost of processing enterprises.
