The following explains the precautions for the use of high-precision double-end grinding machines.
The operation of any machine tool product is relatively technical, and at the same time, it is also relatively dangerous. Therefore, before we operate the machine tool, we should have a brief understanding of the operation. Let's take a high-precision double-sided grinding machine as an example.
1. Conscientiously implement the relevant provisions of the "General Operating Procedures for Metal Cutting Machine Tools".
2. Seriously implement the following general regulations for double-end grinding machines:
Installation of new grinding wheel for high-precision double-end grinding machine:
(1) Carefully check the new grinding wheel of the high-precision double-sided grinding machine. If there is any crack, it is strictly forbidden to use it.
(2) The new grinding wheel needs to be statically balanced twice. Before installation, the main shaft should be fitted with diamonds, and then the balance should be removed.
(3) When installing a new grinding wheel, a 0.5-2mm paper pad should be placed between the grinding wheel and the flange of the double-sided grinder, and the flange screws should be tightened evenly, but do not over-tighten to avoid crushing the grinding wheel.
(4) After the new grinding wheel of the double-sided grinding machine is installed, it can idle for no less than 5 minutes at the working speed, and it can only work after confirming the correct installation and normal operation.
Before work, check whether the grinding wheel and wheel cover of the high-precision double-sided grinding machine are in good condition without cracks, whether the installation is correct, and whether the fastening is reliable. Machine tools without a wheel cover are not allowed to start.
3. Work hard:
(1) Before starting the grinding wheel each time, the hydraulic switch valve should be placed in the stop position, the adjusting handle should be placed in the low speed position, and the fast feed handle of the grinding wheel should be placed in the backward position to avoid accidents.
(2) High-precision double-face grinder: Before starting the grinding wheel of the high-precision double-side grinder, the lubrication pump or the oil pump of the hydrostatic oil supply system should be started first. After the grinding wheel spindle is normally lubricated, the mercury switch is jacked up or the hydrostatic pressure reaches the design value. After floating, the grinding wheel rotation can be started.
(3) At the beginning of grinding, the feed rate should be small and the cutting speed should be slow to prevent the grinding wheel from being cold and brittle, especially when the temperature is low in winter.
(4) High-precision double-end grinding machine: When the grinding wheel enters the workpiece quickly, motorized feed or large knife feed is not allowed. Pay attention to the protruding edges and corners of the workpiece to prevent collisions.
(5) High-precision double-end grinding machine: When the temperature of the grinding wheel spindle exceeds 60°C, it needs to stop working, and start again after the temperature returns to normal.
(6) It is not allowed to use the grinding wheel of the high-precision double-sided grinder as an ordinary grinder to grind things.
4. For double-sided grinding machine tools using coolant, the cooling pump should be turned off after the work is over, and the grinding wheel should be idling for a few minutes before stopping the grinding wheel.

When more than one grinding wheel is installed on the grinding wheel chuck at the same time, it is allowed to separate the grinding wheel with a gasket. The diameter of the gasket and the size of the pressing surface of the grinding wheel need to be equal to the size of the grinding wheel chuck. It is allowed to glue the specially manufactured grinding wheel. combined or stacked together for installation.
